Deal of the day - How to save money at the Puyallup Fair

If you are planning on going to the Puyallup Fair this year, now is the time to buy your tickets and save money.  The fair runs from September 7-23.  Here are some of the ways you can save money at the fair:


  • Opening day, September 7, you can get free admission with a  canned food donation between 9am-Noon.
  • Opening weekend, kids 18 and under get free gate admission.  Here is the link to print the required coupon.  BECU kid's ticket for 8th and 9th
  • Monday, September 10, you can get 1/2 off rides if you purchase tickets online.  You will get 40 tickets for $10.
  • Active duty, retired, and reserve members of the military and their dependents get free admission on September 10 and 17.  Just show ID at the gate.
  • You can get unlimited rides for one low price with a Comcast Dizzy Pass.  Bracelets are $22.50  if you buy online or $27.50 onsite.  Bracelets are valid Tuesday 9/11-Thursday 9/13 and Mon 9/17-Thursday 9/20.  Dizzy Pass also includes one free game, and are good for all midway rides except Extreme Scream.
  • Fred Meyer is selling value packs.  You can get 2 gate admissions, 6 rides, and 10 food bucks for $34.95 until Friday, September 7.  This will save you 42% over gate prices.
  • Most schools will give out free children's admission tickets.  If you don't get one sent home, you can call the office to find out if they have them.
  • If you are planning on attending a concert at the fair, gate admission is included with the ticket.
